Description: Bill Moran is recognized as the grandfather of American custom knifemaking and the founding father of the American Bladesmith Society. He started pounding steel, making knives more than fifty years ago. If you're lucky enough to find a custom-made Moran to buy, expect to shell out five-figures minimum. His work and designs are that revered! Spyderco is privileged to offer a production fixed-blade collaboration patterned in Bill Moran's ageless tradition.
The drop point blade is flat ground Japanese VG-10 stainless steel. VG-10 lends itself to exceptional edge holding combined with a balance between toughness and stain resistance. The blade is distal tapered, providing excellent balance in hand. Spyderco's touchmark and trademark hole are featured on the blade. Moran's signature is on the reverse side of the blade.
The contoured FRN handle fills your palm and is inlayed with a panel of non-sliding Kraton. A lanyard can be added at the rear for extra retention. Highly recommended for hunting, camping, and general purpose use.
The knife comes with a molded Boltaron sheath with a multi-position G-Clip belt clip system.
Made in Japan.
