Description: This stunning folder won Best Damascus and Best of Show at the Oregon Knife Collectors' Association show in 2002. Shane finished the blade and bolsters of this piece with the black lacquer technique. This gives the Damascus a very high contrast finish and makes it very easy to see the design clearly. The steel mixes together his two Dragon patterns, with both black and white dragons. The detail in the dragons is spectacular, becoming even clearer when viewed under a magnifying glass. The mammoth ivory scales are a deep caramel with navy blue veining. The scales and backbar are carved in the "Dragon Scale" style that is a hallmark of Shane's Dragon folders. All screws have been heat blued and fileworked. Fully fileworked inside and out. This is among my favorite knives of all times.
