Description: CarlMichael crafted his first knife at 15 years old. His 30 years of artistry are reflected in this exceptional Swedish Tanto. From the high performing damascus blade to the beautiful mammoth ivory and snakewood, this is sure to be a centerpiece of any collection, though it will beg to be brought out in the field.
The damascus blade was forged to shape by Vladic Daniluk. Vladic is a Russian-born bladesmith now living in Sweden. He is well known throughout Europe for his exquisite control over damascus as well as his dramatic hunting knives. The blade combines 20C and 15N20 carbon steels into the dramatic snakeskin pattern. As is traditional in Nordic countries, the blade is created by a true master of the forge, whereas the handle is created by a master knifemaker who has focused exclusively on that. This focus allows an amazing level of skill to be developed.
The handle combines snakewood with crosscut mammoth ivory. The handle is sculpted to provide a comfortable grip.
To keep the knife close at hand, a matching custom sheath made from snakewood and crosscut mammoth ivory is included. The sheath has a leather upper.
Excellent work throughout!
