Description: Ken Brock made a couple of knives in high school shop class with no clue what he was doing. Years later, in 2003, he sold some knives and guns to buy his first grinder and started making knives as a hobby. At the time, he was working as a police officer and had no interest in working the typical security job that most fellow officers worked for side money. As he began to figure out what he was doing, he branched out into Kydex work for other makers as he continued working on developing his own style of knives. In 2021 Ken retired from law enforcement after 30 years of service and has since focused on making blades full time. This Tactical Kiridashi Neck Knife was kept in a private collection since it was made. It is in new condition and by all appearances, Ken could have made it yesterday!
The blade is CPM-154 stainless steel with a hand rubbed satin finish. This powdered metallurgical steel has a particularly small grain structure, making it take an extremely keen edge and hold it while remaining tough and chip resistant. Filework on the spine gives a secure thumb purchase. Brock's mark is on the right side of the blade.
The handle is black G-10 set on the full tang using four brass pins. The G-10 is sculpted to give a slip resistant grip.
To keep the knife close at hand, a Kydex custom sheath with paracord to be worn around the neck is included.
Nice work throughout!
