Description: Master Smith Aaron Wilburn, a long time maker of knives for the outdoor enthusiast, has expanded his focus to include culinary knives - creating high-performing kitchen workhorses! This incredible mosaic damascus slicing knife is sure to be one of your favorite knives in your collection! The blade has just enough clearance over a cutting board, but the slender blade will be perfect for portioning larger cuts of meat and large vegetables.
The 10-2/3 inch mosaic damascus blade is forged from 1084 and 15n20 carbon steels to provide exceptional edge holding. The intricate damascus pattern shows Aaron's incredible skills at the forge. The beautiful, thinly ground blade is designed for high performance slicing tasks. Aaron's maker mark is on the left side of the blade.
The handle is blue dyed and stabilized maple burl. The coke bottle shaped handle is extremely comfortable. The handle is nicely carved to swell toward the front of the handle, move into a slimmer waist and finally to swell again at the end of the handle. Forge welded, twist damascus bolsters finish the handle. This is a knife you won't want to put down!
Excellent work throughout!
