Description: Captain Bunshichi Koyama is a tremendously creative knifemaker from Japan. His designs are truly innovative -- often combining ancient and modern materials into whimsical, unique creations.
This folder features a 3-1/3" VG10 damascus san mai blade. A high performance VG10 stainless steel core is surrounded by linear damascus forged from stainless steel and nickel. VG-10 provides ultra-high performance with stain resistance.
Arizona desert ironwood handle scales are set on anodized titanium liners. Heat colored Timascus bolsters meet nicely with the scales. Whitelip mother of pearl overlays make a nice accent. The external pivot is surrounded by a pivot ring made from mokume gane (brass and copper forged together into non-ferrous damascene layers). The anodized titanium pocket clip is mounted for right-hand, tip-down carry.
At just 2 oz, it is easy to keep this elegant folder by your side. It is accompanied by a hand stitched leather pocket pouch.
Excellent work throughout!
