Description: This is an exceptional backlock folder from knifemaker Tony Baker from Claremore, Oklahoma. Tony has a keen eye for detail and makes knives with classic designs that will never go out of style! He is definitely a maker to keep an eye on as he continues to make a name for himself!
The 3-1/4 inch clip point blade is American-made CPM-154 stainless steel with a hand rubbed satin finish. This powdered metallurgical steel has a particularly small grain structure, making it take an extremely keen edge and hold it while remaining tough and chip resistant. The blade can be easily opened using the right-handed nail nick. Tony's mark is on the left side of the blade.
The blade is perfectly centered and has incredibly smooth action. Disengage the backlock and the blade will effortless drop shut.
Handle scales are vintage maroon Micarta secured to the frame using hand domed stainless steel pins. Both front and rear bolsters are integral to the liners and fit to the vintage scales in an "S" curve. This shows Tony's high attention to detail and skill as a knifemaker. The contoured handle feels exceptional in the hand.
Excellent work throughout!
