Description: Arno Bernard Sr. is a maker from South Africa and has been making knives for over 35 years. He has been a member of the Knifemakers Guild of Southern Africa (KGSA) for over 20 years. Living in South Africa has allowed him the luxury of using many different exotic handle materials -- some even collected himself.
The blade on this small drop point utility is Bohler N690 and features a satin finish. N690 takes an incredibly sharp edge and holds onto it. Increased toughness gives it better resistance to edge chipping. The spine has been rounded for a comfortable grip.
Dyed and stabilized kudu horn handle scales are set to the full tang using stainless steel pins. The material is taken from the inside of the kudu horn and has been polished -- combining a dramatic appearance with excellent durability. This small knife is very comfortable to hold, yet compact, making it perfect for a daily carry fixed blade.
This knife is accompanied by a Cape buffalo hide pouch style sheath.
Excellent work throughout!
