Description: I was excited when Mastersmith David Lisch introduced me to Mike Clark Jr back in 2018. Since then, his work has continued to show his tremendous attention to detail. Given the level of work, it is no surprise that Mike easily passed his JS Test at the 2019 Blade Show in Atlanta, GA. As Mike prepares to test for mastersmith, he has begun making some spectacular daggers. This dagger is reminiscent of the Fairbairn–Sykes dagger from the WWII era.
The blade is hand forged from Mike's own san mai. The 1084 carbon steel core will have exceptional edge holding and toughness. It is nicely ground with perfect symmetry. Clark's maker mark is shown on the ricasso.
The handle is lace sheoak (Allocasuarina fraseriana0. Sheoak is one of the rarest and most desirable woods in the world due to its highly prized figure reminiscent of burning embers. The pommel and guard are blued antique wrought iron. The knife feels perfectly balanced and is very comfortable in hand.
This knife is accompanied by a custom hand tooled, hand stitched leather sheath.
Exceptional work throughout!
