Description: I was excited when Mastersmith David Lisch introduced me to Mike Clark Jr. back in 2017. Mike's attention to detail was clearly evident in his exquisite work. Given the level of his work, it is no surprise that Mike easily passed his journeyman smith test at the 2019 Blade Show in Atlanta, GA. Since then, his work has continued to develop.
Mike is calling this elegant wharncliffe EDC his pocket razor model. This lightweight knife weighs in at under 2 ounces, making it a very easy knife to have at your side every day.
The blade is hand forged 1095 carbon steel and features a differential heat treatment. This provides a keen long lasting edge with a soft and supportive spine. As the model name infers, the blade is razor sharp. Mike's maker mark and JS are on the right side of the blade.
The handle is Arizona desert ironwood, secured to a full tang using two pins. The compact handle fills your hand nicely and feels great. A lanyard provides easy extra retention.
To keep the knife close at hand, a hand stitched leather sheath designed to be carried in the pocket is included.
Excellent work throughout!
