Description: Mastersmith Kevin Harvey teaches bladesmithing courses, with students travelling from all over the world to learn his techniques. Kevin uses the Heavin Forge mark on his knives when he creates a knife while demonstrating for his classes. This is one such knife.
The 9 inch clip point blade was hand forged from 5160 carbon spring steel. It was forged closely to shape, ensuring a keen, long lasting edge. A differential heat treatment ensures a soft, supportive spine and keen, long lasting cutting edge.
The handle is made from stabilized South African skunkbush burl (Premna mooiensis). This mid toned wood has a dramatic figure that nicely complements antiqued and textured brass fittings.
The knife is accompanied by a hand stitched, basketweave tooled cowhide sheath
Exceptional work throughout!
