Description: I was very excited when I was introduced to Dan Bidinger at 2019 Blade West in Portland, OR. Though Dan didn't have a table, his work spoke for itself. Bidinger brings a tremendous amount of skill, precision, and design to his knives. Since then, his work has continued to develop. He is creating some of best chef's knives found anywhere. Lately he has also been focusing on hunting knives and bowie knives. His careful eye for high quality chef's knife has translated well into this new venue.
The blade on this clip point hunter is AEB-L stainless steel, hardened to 61 Hrc. Many knifemakers and metallurgists feel that AEB-L, with its small crystalline size, tremendous edge stability and toughness, is among the best stainless steels used in knifemaking today. AEB-L was developed for razor blades with a very fine grain structure making it easy to sharpen while maintaining good edge holding capabilities. A hand rubbed satin finish adds an heirloom feel to the blade.
The handle is Richlite secured to the tang using a brass pin. The hand contoured handle is extremely comfortable, swelling nicely at the palm to fill your hand. It is completed with polished brass bolsters. This is a high performance knife that will be very easy to maintain while out in the field.
Excellent fit and finish throughout!
