Description: This custom Deputy II EDC knife was made by Steve Grosvenor (Red Rock Tools) of Beresford, South Dakota. Steve is a Forged in Fire champion (season 4, episode 9) and an American Bladesmith Society Journeyman Smith. He is also a former US Army Airborne Infantry solider and fabricator. Today, he is a full time bladesmith specializing in the high performance forged blade.
This high performance utility is sure to become a daily companion. Its blade is plenty large to get nearly any job done, yet at just 2.2 oz, the compact overall size allows for very easy carry.
The blade is high performing 52100 carbon steel. 52100 is considered by many knife makers and knife users to be among the highest performing steel used to make knives today. Because this knife is made from carbon steel, it needs to be oiled and dried before being put away. We recommend using camellia oil to oil the blade and tang. At 61 Hrc, this knife will hold an exceptional edge.
Natural walnut handle scales are set on the full tang for strength and durability. The hand contoured scales provide a sure, comfortable grip.
This knife is accompanied by a pouch style leather sheath for easy carry.
Excellent work throughout!
