Description: Journeyman Smith Mardi Meshejian is one of the true innovators of artful knife designs. This folder is both creative and captivating, while being extremely useful.
Mardi began by forging the blade to shape from 1080 and 15N20 carbon steels. The extended tang draws its inspiration from the Japanese higonokami folding knife. The blade has smooth action and securely locks open with a locking liner.
The left side features marble carbon fiber handle scales set on anodized titanium liners. Red patina copper is overlaid on the scale for a particularly dramatic and playful effect. The right side features a red copper patina scale with marble carbon fiber overlays. A damascus backspacer gives the knife great stability, while keeping it light and fast.
Excellent work throughout! This is a knife that would be perfect for most any collection, yet it is so practical, that it will be tough not to make it an EDC. It has a playfulness that is tremendously engaging.
