Description: Dawson Knives was started in 1973 by Barry Dawson after completing his tour of duty in Vietnam. Today, three generations of his family help him run the company. Dawson knives are handcrafted in the USA and come with a lifetime warranty. This Neck Knife has been meticulously cared for in a private collection. It is in new condition and by all appearances, it could have been made yesterday.
The neck knife is the perfect companion in the urban environment. The slim profile allows the knife to be worn around the neck for a concealed, easy-access carry.
The 4 inch blade is American-made CPM-3V powdered metallurgical tool steel, providing maximum resistance to breakage and chipping in a high wear-resistant steel. The blade features a differential heat treatment. The hollow grinds are hardened to 60-61 Hrc, while the flats of the blade are tempered to provide a strong, resilient spine. The blade features Dawson's apocalypse black finish. A clear Cerakote finish protects the blade from corrosion while allowing the blade finish to be enjoyed.
The handle features nylon soaked in epoxy and wrapped in a traditional Japanese style. A feather menuki is featured on both sides of the handle. A lanyard can be added to the extended tang if desired.
To keep the knife close at hand, a Kydex sheath designed to be worn around the neck is included.
