Description: This Carbon Fiber Flipper is made by renowned Texas knifemaker Johnny Stout. Johnny began making knives in 1983 and became a full-time maker in 1992. He is best known for his exquisite linerlock folders, though he also makes lockbacks and autos. He build his knives to be a great carry knife, though they would easily enhance any collection.
The drop point blade is hand ground CPM-154 stainless steel. This US-made powdered metallurgical steel has a particularly small grain structure, making it take an extremely keen edge and hold it while remaining tough and chip resistant. The blade is perfectly centered and has smooth action -- easily opened with the ambidextrous flipper tab.
Carbon fiber handle scales are set against stonewashed titanium, meeting in an elegant arc. Textured titanium liners surround a carbon fiber backbar.
Exceptional work throughout.
