Description: Luke Swenson is a fulltime knifemaker originally out of Lakehills, Texas. He recently moved to Plumber, Idaho. He is well known for his high quality slipjoint folding knives that he learned to make under the watchful eye of renowned knifemaker Bill Ruple. Luke strives to make his knives from as many high quality American products as possible and offers a lifetime warranty with all of his work.
The Trapper slipjoint is one of the most popular slipjoint patterns that exists. This Large Trapper is a prime example of Luke's fine work and attention to detail.
The blade and spring are formed from CPM-154 stainless steel with a hand rubbed satin finish. This powdered metallurgical steel has a particularly small grain structure, making it take an extremely keen edge and hold it while remaining tough and chip resistant. The blade is perfectly centered and has smooth, consistent action with a half stop. It can be easily opened using the right-handed nail nick.
Handle scales are formed from dyed jigged bone and are secured to satin finished and fileworked 416 stainless steel liners using hand domed pins. A satin finished stainless steel escutcheon is inlaid into the left scale.
Excellent work throughout!
