Description: This one-of-a-kind folder was handmade by renowned South African knifemaker Neels Roos. It is a tremendously elegant knife with terrific fit and finish throughout! The combination of dyed and stabilized maple burl with highly controlled mosaic damascus by Ettore Gianferrari set this apart as a truly unique and exceptional folder.
The drop point blade was hand ground from Gianferrari's mosaic damascus. The mosaic pattern is intricate and highly controlled. Gianferrari is considered among the best damascus makers in the world and is regrettably very close to retirement. At 58 Hrc, it is sure to have a keen, long lasting edge. The hollow ground blade is well centered with smooth action. It is easily flicked out with the inobtrusive front flipper tab. With a little practice, the front flipper can be easily used with either your forefinger or thumb.
Dyed and stabilized maple burl handle scales are heirloom fit with gun blued mosaic damascus bolsters. The mosaic damascus for the bolsters was also forged by Ettore. Grade 5 titanium liners surround a stainless steel backbar.
Exceptional work throughout!
