Description: This is an elegant little flipper from South African knifemaker Theuns Prinsloo. At only 2 ounces and just over 3 inches closed, this folder is easy to keep in any pocket.
The heat blued damascus blade is forged from carbon steels by Chris King. The heat colored blade shows bright blues and purples, providing an elegant contrast that is sure to capture attention. The hollow ground blade provides an easy to maintain cutting edge.
The blade can be easily deployed using the ambidextrous flipper tab. The knife has silky-smooth action thanks to the ball bearing pivot.
Handle scales are ancient sea cow bone set on differentially anodized and fileworked liners. The anodized liners are jewel polished on the interior. The liners surround a backbar that is hand textured and engraved with a bushman rock art (caveman) motif. This is a hallmark of Prinsloo's work. The scales are fit perfectly to bolsters made of warthog tusk cast in green resin.
Great work throughout!
