Description: Frank Edwards began his journey into knifemaking in 2009 and started forging in 2011. He joined the American Bladesmith Society in 2017 and recently completed a folder class taught by Mastersmiths Bill Burke and Rick Dunkerley. Frank has spent some time working alongside Mastersmith Burke in his workshop since the class, which has taken his work to a completely new level!
The radial pattern mosaic damascus blade was forged from 1080 and 15n20 carbon steels. The high contrast pattern is captivating and will have excellent edge retention. Because this knife is forged from carbon steels, we recommend using camellia oil to oil both the blade and natural stag handle scales. The blade rotates on Teflon washers and has silky smooth action. It is perfectly centered and can be easily deployed using the right-handed, fileworked thumbstud.
Bark mammoth ivory handle scales are dovetailed to matching mosaic damascus bolsters, ensuring a perfect fit. Hand fileworked, polished and nitre blued steel liners surround the backbar. The backbar was meticulously hand engraved by Edwards, both inside and out. Screws throughout are heat colored and fileworked. The knife is lightweight and feels exceptional in hand.
Excellent work throughout!
