Description: Journeyman Smith Jim Arbuckle resides in Yorktown, VA. He started making knives in 1979 and has been forging knives since 1996. Growing up in Washington State, he spent most weekends hunting and fishing and has a great understanding of what features make a knife perform well. Arbuckle created this EDC to be an efficient tool carried every day.
The blade is formed from 154CM high carbon stainless steel, hardened and triple tempered to 59-60 Hrc. This ensures a keen, long lasting edge. The distal tapered blade has perfect balance. A hand rubbed satin finish lends an heirloom quality. The edges of the spine have been rolled to make the knife easier on your hands.
Rosewood Dymalux stabilized wood handle scales are set on the full tang for strength and durability. The top of the tang features modified bamboo hand filework, filled with black epoxy. This gives the beauty of filework without the hassle of cleaning debris out of it. The handle features a deep finger cutout which allows you to hold the knife securely using several different grips, including a pinch grip.
To make it easy to keep this knife close by, Jim made a custom leather sheath.
Excellent work throughout!
