Description: This exceptional cleaver was forged by Journeyman Smith Jim Arbucke. Jim began by forging the blade from 52100 carbon steel. This is a steel that many knifemakers and users feel is among the best steels currently used in knives, if not the best. It features a black distressed finish and will make easy work of tasks that require the heavier tough of a cleaver.
Honduran rosewood (Dalbergia stevensonii) handle scales are set on the full tang for strength and durability. The scales are hand contoured for a secure, comfortable grip. A deep finger cutout allows you to hold the cleaver securely using sever different grips including a pinch grip.
Nice work throughout!
