Description: This beautiful hunting knife was created by Bob Crowder of Thompson Falls, Montana. Bob sold his first knife back in 1985. He is one of the founders of the Montana Knifemakers Association. He makes a clean, well done knife that begs to be used.
The drop point blade is made from Bob's own twist pattern damascus. By combining 1080 and 15N20 carbon steels, Crowder ensures a keen, long lasting edge. The hollow ground blade is razor sharp. Bob's maker mark can be seen on the left side of the blade.
Arizona desert ironwood handle scales are set on the distal tapered full tang. This rare piece of ironwood combines yellow sapwood with warm toned heartwood.
Both the spine and tang are distal tapered providing excellent balance. A finger guard is formed from Crowder's own mokume gane. He forged copper and brass together.
To keep the knife close at hand, a hand stitched black leather sheath is included.
Excellent work throughout!
