Description: Mastersmith Kevin Harvey is well known for his tremendous attention to detail -- only matched by his skill at design. This elegant clip point hunter/bowie has it all.
The clip point blade was forged to shape from Kevin's own butterflies pattern damascus. The broad blade shows off the pattern beautifully. The pattern combines bold patterns with fine details, making it pull attention from a distance and hold it upon closer examination.
The contoured handle is formed from fever tree burl (Acacia xanthophloea) is nice light tone with a fascinating figure. A spacer and butt cap are formed from dark toned red bush willow (Combretum apiculatum). The guard is formed from copper. Kevin hand engraved the both sides. The contoured handle is completed with a central copper pin. The copper brings out warm tones in the dramatically figured wood.
This knife is accompanied by a brown cowhide sheath with African rock python skin inlay.
Absolutely exceptional work throughout!
