Description: Jessica Burke is the 22 year old (as of the spring of 2019) daughter of Mastersmith Bill Burke. In the last couple of years, Jessica has been making knives under the watchful supervision of Bill. The results have been absolutely amazing!
This folder is Jessica's first ever folding knife. It was made in a class taught by Mastersmiths Bill Burke and Rick Dunkerley. It is a Dunkerley #8 pattern. The knife has smooth action with no blade play and lockup is perfect.
Jessica began with feather pattern damascus forged by her father, Mastermith Bill Burke. The high contrast pattern is highly captivating and will have excellent edge retention. Because this knife is forged from carbon steels, we recommend using camellia oil to oil both the blade and matching handle. The blade rotates on Teflon washers and can be easily deployed using the faceted sapphire right-handed thumbstud.
Matching feather pattern damascus handle scales are set on heat blued and fileworked 15n20 carbon steel liners. The liners surround a heat blued mild steel backbar. The screws throughout have also been hand fileworked.
Exceptional work throughout!
