Description: Mastersmith David Lisch is perhaps best known for his Bowies and his understanding of stag. This exceptional Integral Hunter shows David's attention to detail and his exceptional skill as both a bladesmith and a blacksmith!
The 5-1/4 inch blade was forged to shape using Lisch's own mosaic damascus combining 1080 and 15N20 carbon steels. It is a pettern he calls serpent dragon. The complex pattern is immediately captivating from a distance and holds attention upon closer examination. David is a master at the forge and this steel -- both in terms of complexity and clarity -- shows his work at its best. The integral bolster is perfectly fit to the stag handle.
The central column of premium sambar stag is downturned for a comfortable grip. The mosaic damascus end cap is perfectly carved to match the natural texture of the sambar stag. A mosaic damascus takedown pin is included which allows the maker to disassemble for repairs to the knife if ever needed.
Excellent work throughout!
