Description: Swedish knifemaker Greger Forselius has a flair for design. This Swedish Bowie shows his work at its best!
The 8" blade was hand forged by Konstantin Lysenko in Donetsk, Ukraine. Lysenko combined three separate bars of damascus into this exceptional large blade. A stunning central bar is made from mosaic damascus and surrounded by a firecracker pattern at the cutting edge and spine. The result is a captivating blade that will have you staring for hours. A large recurve increases cutting ability and will help with chopping and slicing tasks. A choil allows you to choke up on the blade for more detailed tasks such as skinning or carving.
The handle is made from exhibition grade amboyna burl (Pterocarpus indicus). Amboyna burl is an exotic wood and considered to be among the most beautiful burl woods in the world. A large section of stabilized woolly mammoth tooth complements the amboyna burl nicely. An antiqued and fileworked copper guard, spacer, and end cap finish the handle.
To keep the knife close at hand, a brown leather sheath with lizard skin inlay is included. A retention strap prevents the knife from sliding out of the sheath by accident.
Excellent work throughout!
