Description: Andy Burke is the son of renowned Mastersmith Bill Burke. Over the years, Andy has had the opportunity work with Bill and he has created some truly spectacular knives. Andy has a tremendous sense of design and has implemented this knife with the fit and finish befitting Bill’s son.
The blade is formed from a bold two bar Turkish twist pattern damascus, beginning with 1084 and 15N20 carbon steels. The exquisite pattern immediately grabs attention, even from a distance. By using carbon steels, Andy ensures excellent edge retention. The blade is perfectly centered and has silky-smooth action. It is easily opened single handed with the thumb stud, which holds a genuine faceted diamond.
The handle combines presentation grade mammoth ivory with Turkish Twist damascus bolsters. This mammoth ivory combines green/blue tones with caramel. These tones, which develop across thousands of years, are very rare. The ivory is heirloom fit to the elegant textured bolsters. Screws throughout are fileworked and heat colored. 15N20 carbon steel liners are textured and differentially heat colored.
Exceptional fit and finish throughout - tremendous.
