Description: The Cowboy folder is a classic design by Mastersmith Audra Draper. The bold Damascus pattern stands out from a distance on the large blade. The deep belly, makes it very useful for skinning as well as general purpose tasks. This knife style was developed by Mastersmith Draper shortly after a trip to visit Ken Onion in Hawaii. Audra Draper worked under Ed Fowler M.S. and believes heavily in the hand forged knife. This knife has been in a single private collection since it was made in 2005. It has been well cared for and is in near new condition.
The large blade was forged to shape from Audra's own damascus, combining 15N20 and 1084 carbon steels. The large belly Is perfect for slicing and skinning. A convex grind provides plenty of strength behind the cutting edge while still remaining razor sharp. The blade can be easily opened using the right-handed thumbstud which features a mother of pearl inlay. The blade is well centered and has smooth action.
The handle combines stonewashed titanium with moose antler. Moose antler scales are well fit to the S-cut bolsters. Stonewashed titanium liners surround a matching stonewashed titanium backbar, keeping the knife light for its size.
Excellent work throughout!
