Description: There is something about a beautiful, custom push dagger that always grabs my attention. Push daggers always evoke a time in history when gentlemen were sure to carry a knife such as this -- for defense or offense -- and the difference between a gentleman and a scoundrel was pretty small.
Anders Hogstrom formed the blade of this push dagger from stainless damascus. The Heimskringla pattern steel immediately grabs attention. The 3.1 inch blade starts out wide and tapers to a vicious point. It is designed to be a puncturing tool rather than a cutting tool.
The handle is an absolutely spectacular section of cross-cut ancient walrus ivory. It is set on a full tang and the contoured ivory and ring provide a secure, comfortable grip.
A leather custom boot sheath makes it easy to keep this punch dagger close at hand.
