Description: This custom flipper from by Jason Clark offers a handcrafted build that is lightweight, pocket-friendly and tremendously eye catching.
The damascus blade is a style called san mai. A premium XHP stainless steel core is surrounded by layers of ladder pattern damascus. Carpenter's CTS-XHP stainless steel is an air hardening, high carbon, high chromium, corrosion resistant alloy. At Hrc 60, this knife will have exceptional edge holding! The blade is hollow ground with a swedge for an easy to maintain edge. The blade is perfectly centered with smooth action. It uses the IKBS (Ikoma Korth Bearing System) pivot. This mechanism, which was originally designed to fit balisong knives, uses ball bearings to create exceptional action with no blade play.
Chatoyant carbon fiber handle scales are truly exceptional. The domed scales appear to shimmer in the light as the handle is turned. They meet with Black Timascus bolsters in a meticulous dovetail. Black Timascus combines different grades of titanium and zirconium into a beautiful mokume. Titanium liners are anodized blue and nicely complement the machined Black Timascus pocket clip. The clip is mounted for right-handed, tip-up carry. A stainless san mai damascus back spacer elegantly continues the lines created in the knife's spine.
Exceptional work throughout!
