Description: This custom Butterbean Flipper from by Jason Clark offers a handcrafted build that is both lightweight and pocket-friendly. The Butterbean Flipper is a new design from Clark and is loosely based on Case Knives' iconic design. This is Clark's final prototype of the design.
The drop point blade is formed from CPM154 stainless steel. This powdered metallurgical steel has a particularly small grain structure, making it take an extremely keen edge and hold it! It features a precise flat grind. The blade is perfectly centered with silky smooth action -- easily opened with one hand using the discreet and ambidextrous flipper toggle. The blade uses the IKBS (Ikoma Korth Bearing System) pivot system. This mechanism, which was originally designed to fit balisong knives, uses ball bearings to create exceptional action with no blade play.
The scales are natural linen Micarta that has been nicely domed for a comfortable grip. A minimal stainless steel backspacer keeps the knife strong, yet extremely light. The handle is completed with a paracord lanyard and Micarta bead.
The low profile pocket clip is mounted for right-handed, tip-up carry.
Exceptional work throughout!
