Description: Jessica Burke is the 20 year old (as of the summer of 2017) daughter of Mastersmith Bill Burke. In the last few of years, Jessica has been making knives under the watchful supervision of her master smith father. The results have been absolutely amazing!
This high performance Every Day Carry Utility Knife will easily become the knife that doesn't leave your side, yet it would feel at home in most any collection. The slender blade has a slight recurve for aggressive cutting. The distal tapered blade brings weight toward the handle for a secure, comfortable grip.
The 52100 carbon steel blade was triple quenched and triple tempered for grain refinement and optimal edge holding. Many makers and collectors feel that 52100 is among the best steels available for knifemaking.
The handle is formed from presentation grade spalted mahogany. Dark spalting lines travel through the light colored wood. The handle is nicely carved to swell at the palm.
The knife has perfect balance and this ensures it is as much of a joy to use as it is to look at! Jessica custom formed a black Kydex sheath for the knife. A mini Tek-lok allows it to be easily attached to a belt.
Exceptional work throughout.
