Description: Jessica Burke is the 18 year old (as of the spring of 2015) daughter of Mastersmith Bill Burke. In the last couple of years, Jessica has made a few knives under the watchful supervision of Bill. The results have been absolutely amazing!
This high performance chef's knife is a perfect choice as a primary knife in the kitchen. The long, deep-bellied blade is well suited for slicing vegetables and meats. The gentle arch of the cutting edge is perfect for a rocking chopping motion with plenty of finger clearance over a cutting board.
The blade began as a bar of Twisted Dragon damascus forged by Mastersmith Bill Burke. Jessica then forged it take shape into this exquisite chef's knife. The heat treatment followed the formulas developed by Mastersmiths Bill Burke and Ed Fowler. This technique creates some of the sharpest and most long lasting edges found anywhere!
The handle is formed from macassar ebony. The front ferrule is formed from black pakkawood. The traditional octagonal handle is very comfortable for extended use.
The knife has perfect balance and this ensures it is as much of a joy to use as it is to look at!
