Description: Master Smith Henry Torres had the opportunity to work under renowned Mastersmith Bill Burke in the spring of 2006. This allowed him to understand Bill's techniques of heat treating and implementation, which result in a level of edge holding rarely found elsewhere. Henry heat treated this blade using the same techniques -- creating exceptional edge retention.
The blade was forged to shape from 52100 carbon steel -- a steel that many knifemakers and collectors feel has the highest performance found anywhere. It is completed by an heirloom quality hand rubbed satin finish with a flat grind. A differential heat treatment is visible in the satin finished steel. This results in a keen, long lasting edge with a softer, supportive spine. An integral stylized S-guard will prevent your hand from slipping over the blade.
Presentation grade curly koa scales sit on a full tang to ensure a well balanced, comfortable fit in the hand. Mosaic pins complement warm tones of the wood. The handle is completed with a lanyard hole.
A kydex sheath accompanies this knife. Paracord will allow this to be a perfect neck knife. This high performance knife is sure to become an elegant Every Day Carry knife, while being equally at home in any collection.
