Description: South African knifemaker George Muller makes an exceptionally dramatic knife -- and at a price that would never be found from a US maker. The colors, textures and style all work perfectly together.
The blade is formed from twist pattern Damasteel stainless damascus from Sweden. The pattern is immediately captivating - both from a distance and upon closer examination. The action is silky smooth -- easily opened with one hand using the ambidextrous flipper toggle. The blade uses the IKBS (Ikoma Korth Bearing System) pivot system. This mechanism, which was originally designed to fit balisong knives, uses ball bearings to create exceptional action with no blade play.
Ancient mammoth ivory scales incorporate cream tones with rare blue and green and hints of chocolate tones. The ivory is surrounded by a front and rear bolster made from titanium damascus. Front and rear bolsters help protect the mammoth ivory scales from impact if dropped. The colors in the titanium damascus nicely complement the mammoth ivory. The scales sit on titanium liners for strength and durability. The liners surround a stainless Damasteel backbar. An anodized titanium pocket clip is mounted for tip-up, right handed carry.
Excellent work throughout!
