Description: Anders's work is highly valued by collectors worldwide - he consistently creates pieces with some of the tightest tolerances of any maker, anywhere. A recurrent theme in his work is his inspired fusion of Japanese and Nordic styles, creating knives that are bold, elegant, and truly unique.
This fighter is immediately captivating. The hamon (temper lines) created by Anders' clay heat treatment process results in a knife that has excellent edge retention, while also having the support of a softer spine. Double hamon lines are created by quenching the blade twice. This creates multiple hardness zones within the blade and is particularly difficult to achieve, demonstrating the tremendous skill of the maker.
The handle is formed from a single piece of cross-cut spalted birch. Rich dark earth and light blond tones in the spalting complements the warmth of the antiqued copper guard. This combination of materials immediately captivates the imagination. A domed copper pin sets the blade in the handle, while a single copper lanyard tube rounds out the piece.
The fighter is accompanied by a traditional Swedish hand tooled leather sheath. Exceptional fit and finish throughout!
