Description: This knife is known to the U.S. Army Special Forces as "The Yarborough". It is a no-nonsense, hardworking tool, designed by renowned knife maker and designer Bill Harsey. This non-serialized Green Beret was named in honor of Lieutenant General William Pelham Yarborough who is known as the "Father of the Modern Green Berets". Since August 23, 2002, a serialized version of the "Yarborough" knife has been presented to each graduate of the Special Forces Qualification Course.
The hollow ground CPM S35VN stainless steel blade features a drop-point design with an aggressively ground swedge. This transitions into an elegantly rounded spine perfect for batoning through wood. A double row of serrations are placed just in front of the comfortably rounded choil. The black canvas micarta scales are nicely swelled to fill the palm and flared at the pommel and cross-guard. A glass-breaker is integrated with the lanyard hole.
The Green Beret Knife is a useful knife that, just like the men for whom it was designed, is efficient, tough and uncompromising. Accompanied by a Combat Master nylon sheath..
