Description: Anders's work is highly valued by collectors worldwide - he has consistently created pieces with some of the tightest tolerances of any maker, anywhere. A recurrent theme in his work is his inspired fusion of Japanese and Nordic styles, creating knives that are bold, elegant, and truly unique.
The 4-3/4 inch dagger is immediately captivating. The hamon (temper lines) created by Anders' clay heat treatment process results in a knife that has excellent edge retention, while also having the support of a softer central ridge. Double hamon lines are created by quenching the blade twice. This creates multiple hardness zones within the blade and is particularly difficult to achieve, demonstrating the tremendous skill of the maker.
The handle is formed from ancient mammoth bone. The osteon in the bone has taken on stunning hues of greenish blue. The bolster and end cap are formed from antiqued copper, which adds warmth and ties together the greenish blue and cream colors of the handle.
The dagger is accompanied by a traditional Nordic hand tooled leather sheath. Exceptional fit and finish throughout!
