Description: Tom Sterling is well known for his knapped stone knives. This bronze blade combines his enthusiasm for metals with knapped work.
This utility-style "knapped" dagger features a blade carved from bell metal. This combination of tin and copper forms a bronze allow that is quite hard and takes on a nice edge. The bronze is carved to resemble a knapped stone knife. The handle is formed from exhibition grade snakewood and has a nice mix of light and dark warm tones. Tom's mark is set in an ancient ivory inlay. A rawhide wrap completes the handle.
The accompanying presentation box is formed from black walnut wood.
Exceptional work throughout!
