Description: Stag Hamon Hunter is a dramatic example of Journeyman Smith Fred Ott's work. European and Japanese styles are combined into a unique knife that grabs the imagination from first sight.
The W2 carbon steel blade was forged to shape and clay hardened using a traditional Japanese technique. The resulting heat treatment line, known as a hamon, shows the separation between the soft, supportive spine, and the ultra-hard, long lasting edge. The technique ensures exceptional edge holding with durability.
Antiqued bronze fittings surround the handle. Stag is combines with a polished oosik front spacer. The knife is accompanied by a hand stitched leather sheath. Exceptional fit and finish throughout!
