Description: The father and son team - Grant and Gavin Hawk - are located in Idaho City, ID. This shelter from the outside world allows the genius duo to design and produce their logic-driven, forward-thinking knives. Their unique style is instantly recognizable by the distinctive aesthetic and innovative mechanics. Everything about their creations is so well thought out and beautifully executed; it is hard to put down once you have it in the hand.
The Cyclops is the brainchild of Gavin Hawk and truly displays the versatility of Hawk ingenuity. An interesting pendant at first glance, the purple and amber anodized titanium scale is elegantly sculpted with an opposing scale made from lightning strike carbon fiber. Copper strands move through the carbon fiber weave. This type of carbon fiber was originally designed for use on fighter jets to redirect electricity. Lightning strike carbon fiber is among the hardest to find knifemaking materials.
The hooked blade is ground from Devin Thomas Reptile pattern stainless Damascus, which is cleverly opened by a titanium hanger securely suspended on a 23 inch round leather cord necklace. When the user grasps the pendant and pulls downward, the blade rotates off of the hinged hanger using the IKBS pivot mechanism, and locks open via a liner lock. The Ikoma Korth Bearing System (IKBS) was originally designed to fit balisong knives and uses ball bearings to create exceptional action with virtually no blade play.

An impressive venture combining knives and functional jewelry from Grant and Gavin Hawk!
