Description: This trailing point hunter is an exquisite knife. The blade has a graceful distal taper, resulting in optimal balance. A differential heat treatment is clearly visible, resulting in a soft, supportive spine and a hard, keen cutting edge. An appleseed grind assures a very strong edge. The surface has been etched, revealing the inherent damascene pattern of the carbon mono-steel 1084 blade.
The guard and pommel are hand forged from wrought iron recovered from mid 1800s anchor chain. The wrought iron has a nearly Damascene pattern. The handle, is formed from deer crown and is comfortable both in a right and left-hand grip.
The knife is accompanied by a wet formed, two ply cow hide sheath. Excellent fit and finish throughout.
