Description: Don is a maker that is a force to be reckoned with. Having started making knives under the watchful eye of Mastersmith Rick Dunkerley, he learned quickly what to look for. This sole authorship knife has a excellent fit and finish, with a distal taper to the blade that creates a balance that feels great in the hand.
The blade is a perfect shape for a hunter/utility and is forged from Don's own ladder pattern damascus. This ladder pattern is dramatic and bold, showing off Don's skill at forging. Ironwood burl scales are set on a full tang and are set off to perfection by a pair of intriguing mosaic pins that form tiny tunnels through the tang. Fiber spacers between the full tang and scales assist the handle to adjust to temperature and humidity changes. Excellent work throughout.
