Description: Mastersmith Jerry Lairson creates an exceptional knife and this one makes it clear why he is famous for his bowie knives.
Jerry began the blade by forging a high layer count damascus from 1084 and 15N20 carbon steels. Before he etched the damascus, he created a flame pattern resist. The result is dramatic silver flames traveling across the complex damascus background.
An appleseed grind assures a very strong edge that will hold up under use. The antiqued curly maple handle is inlaid with pure silver flames. The handle is completed with an elongated oval damascus guard and ferrule. Exceptional fit and finish throughout.
