Description: Kiridashi are small knives used throughout Japan for doing all sorts of tasks. They are used in woodworking for marking and for detail tasks around the house. In the past, these knives were even carried by school children, who would use them to sharpening pencils, cut wood, and the like.
Tom's Mantis and Wasp Kiridashi was hand forged from 1095 carbon steel. Engraved and carved copper scales depict a detailed praying mantis and flying wasp. Tom chose to make this Kiridashi double bevel for Western use.
Exceptional fit and finish throughout!
