Description: Collectors of Anders' work know that he has some of the tightest tolerances of any maker, anywhere. Anders excels in creating a fusion of Japanese and Nordic styles.
The 5 in. dagger ground blade is 1050 carbon steel and has been differentially heat treated using the traditional Japanese clay technique. The hamon (temper line) results in a knife that has excellent edge retention, while also having the support of a softer central core. It is particularly difficult to create a hamon on a dagger ground blade. The handle incorporates mammoth cheek bone with antiqued copper fittings. The copper brings the weight back into the handle for a secure hold. Exceptional work throughout.
