Description: Collectors of Anders' work know that he has some of the tightest tolerances of any maker, anywhere. Anders excels in creating a fusion of Japanese and Nordic styles. Anders cast the guard from bronze, then textured and antiqued the surface. By casting, he is able to create fittings that integrate into the dagger, creating a true masterwork.
The hamon (temper lines) created by Anders' clay heat treat process makes a knife that has excellent edge retention, while also having the support of a softer central core. The 1050 carbon steel core travels along the edge of the blade in a gentle undulating pattern. The gidgee wood handle, with its undulating grain pattern is a nice compliment to the blade. The wood has been brought to an impeccable high gloss finish. Exceptional work throughout.
