Description: Mike Franklin's knives are well known for their strength, durability, and long lasting edges. This exceptional boot knife was made by Mike in 1974 and has been in a single collection. It is in mint condition and has not been used to cut or been sharpened.
The blade is formed from Stellite 6K. This highly desired, non-ferrous metal has exceptional edge hold far beyond the limits of steel knives. A hand satin finish lends elegance while the long clip creates an aggressive tip. Both the blade and tang are distal tapered, resulting in optimal balance. Stag scales sit on red fiber spacers, allowing the handle to adjust to temperature and humidity changes. Exceptional work throughout and a rare find!
