Description: This sole-authorship sub-hilt fighter was made by William Chap in 1989. The Damascus blade was hand forged from his own ladder pattern Damascus using carbon steels. The knife has been meticulously cared for and is in mint condition. The grind lines are well balanced and very clear. The stainless sub-hilt guard has been satin finished. Red, white, and blue fiber spacers allow the stag handle to adjust to temperature and humidity changes. The sub-hilt is accompanied by a detail/utility knife that has also been forged from Chapo's Damascus. This smaller knife measures 3 1/4 in. blade length and has an overall length of 6 3/4 in. The blade width is .5 in. and is .11 in. thick. Excellent fit and finish throughout.
